mommyof2monkeys+princess Posted June 13, 2019 #1 Share Posted June 13, 2019 We will be in a grand suite and I read there are some perks to that as well. We are a party of 5 - my husband and I and our 3 kids - 2 young adult age and an almost teen. My daughter who is 12 and myself are catching a flight back home at 11:30am from FLL the day of disembarking from Allure. My husband and the boys are staying for some father/son time. They will take care of our luggage so just dd and I with backpacks to get to our flight type deal. Can dd and I disembarking without them needing to be with us? Also what is the best way for us to get to the airport quickly? We are needing to get back home for our daughter to be somewhere by 3pm so we can't miss this flight. SilkySal Posted June 13, 2019 #2 Share Posted June 13, 2019 Yes, I believe you can disembark separately if you wish. A cab is probably your fastest to the airport and there will be plenty available. I suggest you get with your suite concierge and let him/her handle all of your arrangements, since that's what you're paying for! Cheers and happy cruise! Taxi is a very quick way to get from Port Everglades to FLL. Many taxis in line and the cost should be around $20.
Annicruise2014 Posted June 13, 2019 #4 Share Posted June 13, 2019 That is exactly what we did. Girls trip of 7 ladies, one had to be home early. We took care of her luggage in our names and she got off with just her purse and took a taxi. Made in with plenty of time to spare. No problems at all. SRF Posted June 13, 2019 #5 Share Posted June 13, 2019 Since you are in a suite, you would go to the lounge and the concierge will escort off groups of suite and Pinnacle guests. No need to go together, you could go one at a time.
maryred Posted June 13, 2019 #6 Share Posted June 13, 2019 (edited) Having a suite will help you get off when you want but it does not impact how you wish to split up your cabin or booking to disembark with. The option is open to all adults regardless of cabin category or loyalty status. The only problem I could foresee is with the CBP customs clerks doing the repatriation. Though the family is traveling together you may just want to have in your back pocket the a minor's travel consent letter. This way if they question why dad is not there at disembarkation, no explanation needed just produce the form signed by him that he acknowledges the differing travel plans and is OK with them. mommyof2monkeys+princess Posted June 17, 2019 Author #7 Share Posted June 17, 2019 Thanks for the advice everyone! This makes me feel better than we can pull this off LOL. The craziness for a kid's sport HAHAHA. We have everyone's passports back from renewal except hers UGH. I am hoping it comes in today or such and I will see if I can get her global entry in time to help as well. (I have global entry)
