Miami - Post Cruise (Late Flight)

We have a cruise end of August with our flight that evening at 8:30pm.

 

Looking at non-expensive ideas of what to do for the day.  Last time we booked a day hotel at The Pullman.  It worked and was a lovely hotel, but our kids got really bored by lunch.  (They swam in the pool in the morning and then what).  However, this is probably the most economical option.  Any other ideas?  I see a day option at The Regency, which is also near the airport but at least there is a Walgreens in the area we may be able to kill an hour or two (and it also has a pool).

Our cruise ends on a Friday and so we don't want to go too far from the airport due to getting stuck in rush hour traffic getting to the airport ...plus trying to keep costs down.

Check www.resortpass.com for hotels and resorts offering day passes to their pool, beac, and spa facilities.

 

Store your bags at the Luggage Lounge in South Beach and then explore SB and Miami - maybe try one of the hop-on/off bus tours and have a fun lunch somewhere before heading to the airport.
