5280mom Posted June 19, 2019 #1 Share Posted June 19, 2019 We are taking a tour next week that includes Pearl Harbor. As far as clear bags go, is anything that is accepted at sporting events considered acceptable at Pearl Harbor? Think NFL game type/sized item. Thanks for any direction here! cccole Posted June 19, 2019 #2 Share Posted June 19, 2019 I would call the Pearl Harbor NP directly at 808-422-3399. Cherie
dkata Posted June 20, 2019 #3 Share Posted June 20, 2019 NO BAGS that exceed 1.5" x 2.5" x 5.5" are admitted at Pearl Harbor Visitors Center. That size is practically all purses. You will be directed to the bag storage shack to the right side just past the bathrooms The fee is $5 per bag.

Items allowed at the monument: Clear plastic bags, such as those allowed at football games * *Note: Any bag that is determined to be allowed will be inspected and/or tagged as screened. https://www.nps.gov/valr/planyourvisit/safety.htm The site you posted states it’s not the official website: The Pearl Harbor Visitors Bureau is not affiliated, associated, authorized, endorsed by, or in any way officially connected with the Pearl Harbor Visitor Center, World War II Valor in the Pacific National Monument, National Park Service, or U.S. Department of the Interior. 5280mom Posted June 25, 2019 Author #6 Share Posted June 25, 2019 Just a follow up for anyone needing clarification... we went to Pearl Harbor on Friday and I carried an NFL logo clear bag and sailed through the entrance line. No problem at all and it was nice to have someplace to carry our sweaty water bottles! 1
