newyorker123 Posted June 19, 2019 #1 Share Posted June 19, 2019 I know there's supposed to be a price increase in July. Does that mean every ship, every itinerary? We paid a $1500 deposit to be waitlisted for October 2020 and I was told that even though I paid a deposit, since I am not confirmed, I will have to pay the price increase. That doesn't seem to make any sense to me. Does anyone have any knowledge of any of this? Thanks!!

With all the cruise ships sailing, you are bound to find an alternative. If you wait until after final payment, there are usually cabins available. You might just find a lower price as On Celebrity, I have received email inviting me to bid for an upgrade. Azamara started the same process in March. I was not sent the email invite. I called Azamara and got nowhere. My TA from a big online agency also called. He was told that I should get the email 60 days before embarkation. I embark next week. No email. There are still empty cabins showing in the category that I might bid on. Your posting may be why I was not invited to bid. I am not sure if your post is in the right thread, but in any case, did you try to go directly to the Azamara bidding page, and if so did it work for you? https://www.azamaraclubcruises.com/azamara-upgrade-program Tom & Judy

I just booked for April 2021 (!) and was assured by the Oceania agent that by paying the $750 per person deposit, I was locking in the current pricing. He also mentioned that prices were scheduled to rise at the end of the month.

Whoever you spoke to should have told you if you have a cabin number that is correct locking in price..if you are Wait-listed that is incorrect ..pay new price at time you clear.. Based on my (limited) experience, I would say "no" - some go up, some stay the same.
newyorker123 Posted June 21, 2019 Author #8 Share Posted June 21, 2019 Thank you! I was hoping it wasn't fleet wide.
