Lobster night on Med cruise

I am on the Rhapsody OTS in 3 weeks(July19), for an 8 day cruise to Greece and Croatia. does anyone know when lobster night is? I was looking for a Cruise Compass but couldn't find one for this itenerary.

Can't tell you what day it is but from my past experience it's usually the last formal night. So my bet is that it will probably your 6th night on the ship.

No regular lobster on Mediterranean cruises.

 

They still have the upcharge lobster on the menu, though.  😉

I say it every time, I have never found the lobster anything better than OK and most of the time much worse.  I don't even bother ordering it, looking for it etc...

No lobster on the Oasis 7 night Mediterranean cruises. Just an upcharge option.

Sadly, It was tough and probably had died of old age.

That is new.  I've been on 4 12 niter's on the Radiance class and no lobster tail(s) in the MDR.

This looks  more like the exception, generally no Lobster night on european sailings except for Transatlantic cruises originating or ending in the US

 

For cruises leaving US, lobster was also served in the past on sailings as of 4 or 5 nights (Bermuda for instance), now it seems to be only served on 7 night +.

 

Anyway, as was mentioned here already several times, the lobster you receive on board is not the real thing. If you want to taste the freshest most delicious lobster go on a New England cruise and skip the lobster night 😉 and have the real thing at ports such as Bar Harbour
