calmpets Posted July 12, 2019 #1 Share Posted July 12, 2019 So Manhattan does not allow reservations for parking. Has anyone ever arrived there for their cruise and discovered the garage was full?

dcipjr Posted July 12, 2019 #3 Share Posted July 12, 2019 I've never had a problem, but it's all about timing. If you get there too early, the lot has to empty out after the previous cruise, so it may be full. If you get there too late, it may be full of passengers for your cruise -- and besides, come on, you're missing the buffet! We've always arrived at around 11 AM and have had no issues finding a spot.
mjkacmom Posted July 12, 2019 #4 Share Posted July 12, 2019 You will be fine, there is also overflow parking at 90 and 92. We usually arrive around 9:30.

yearsofcruising Posted July 13, 2019 #6 Share Posted July 13, 2019 PARK RIGHT using them for years . Look into their " white glove ". About 5 blocks away. Go to them , they bring you back to pier with luggage. Returning , call them from customs. Car is brought to you across the street 1block up and you leave in your car !!! 1bets1 Posted July 14, 2019 #7 Share Posted July 14, 2019 This is the first time I'm sailing from NY. I'm using a car service. What address/pier do I give the driver, or is 'Escape' enough?
dcipjr Posted July 14, 2019 #8 Share Posted July 14, 2019 I’d tell them “Manhattan Cruise Terminal, Pier 88”.
yearsofcruising Posted July 14, 2019 #9 Share Posted July 14, 2019 dropping off never a problem at the pier. Suggestion would be if using a pvte driver , have him meet you across the street/ 1 block up for picking up. Drop off is second level and disembarkation/customs is on street level so you just walk across street
