Royal has not enforced suggested arrival times on cruises based out of the US.

We normally get to the cruise terminal around 10.30am are usually all checked in and onboard by 11.00am

The only issue with getting there early or before they start to board is you have to wait, first the B2B passengers board, then the Suites and Pinnacle's and then it goes by the order you get checked in (they give you a number) so you will be onboard at 11ish if there is no issues. We usually get to the port at 11ish and by the time we have checked in we just walk on.

There was music playing at the time.  We went early and was able to get on the ship in about 30 mins.
