Internet on cross Atlantic/Pacific voyages

Hi,

 

we we are hoping to do a reposition cruise next year and will need internet in connection with a small business we have, emails etc and keep in touch with family. Can anyone advise does the purchased internet packages work well when in the middle of the oceans?

We had absolutely no issues with the WiFi on our repositioning last year, Genoa to Barbados. We were concerned as the WiFi hadn't worked at all well on our 2015 crossing but the upgraded system stayed connected even when in the middle of the Atlantic. Our usage was limited to emails and internet, couldn't advise if it's sufficient to do anything more challenging.

Hi Cruising fox, thanks very much for the information. Did you buy an unlimited package or what package and can you recall cost?

I have just purchased the Premium package for an upcoming 21-night TA. cost was 163 USD.

We had the premium package for that one, which cost £120.
