Aft balconies in the Med -- too hot?

My family of four is considering a Mediterranean cruise on the Apex or Edge in summer 2020 -- not sure whether Eastern, Western, or both.  We want a Sunset Veranda because we prefer a real balcony rather than an infinite veranda.  I've never sailed in an aft cabin and I am sort of worried about the lack of airflow on the balcony, as the weather might be very hot.  Does an aft balcony get uncomfortably hot in the Mediterranean?  Would I be better off taking a cabin that is not dead center but slightly to the side, or would that not make much difference in terms of air flow?  Any experiences/advice would be much appreciated!

We always book aft balcony if one is available. Try to get a corner aft if possible though since you are cruising in the summer so you can have better air circulation.  We have had days where there was no breeze and it was too hot to sit out there (but not many). Aft balconies are so great, I would grab one regardless of temperatures.

We changed our IV cabin booked in April 2018 for our SV aft cabin for August 2019. It just seems perfect

We have yet to sail but have our CC friends on here to thank for our decision to change to SV 11270 from an IV cabin.

Just watching the reviews coming and other CC comments since her launch has helped us … and that speaker below our cabin VTcruiser !!!!

Thanks everyone ----------- you know who you are, our CC buddies!!!!

Not long for us to go now !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have no doubt that the aft are the way to go !

Hot, yes, but amazing ….

PS: Sorry just read this back ………….. I think we are excited …………….
