Manhattan Highlights and Transfer to Airport (EWR)

I just posted this in the Celebrity forum, but wasn't sure which place would be best.  Has anyone done the Manhattan Highlights and Transfer to Airport (EWR) through Celebrity Excursions from the Summit?  We are looking at that if we change our flight, which we have to do by midnight tonight. It would be cool if they let us get out to walk around and take pics, but if we are just sitting on a bus driving by then we wouldn't be interested.

If you wanted to get out in midtown and just take pictures you can easily just take an Uber from the pier into town and then Uber back out to EWR when you are ready. Will cost you the same if not less than the tour will and you can control your own schedule. You can check bags at a number of different hotels in midtown if you grab breakfast or lunch there.

A similar tour is offered by RCL and I would assume the Celebrity tour is very similar.  Folks have reported that the only place the bus stops for folks to get off is at the 911 Memorial.

 

The problem with a bus tour in NYC is that there is absolutely no place for a bus to easily park and wait while folks get off for 20 minutes.  That’s why the Hoho bus is so popular.  Folks get on and off but the bus keeps moving to the next stop.
