discru Posted August 5, 2019 #1 Share Posted August 5, 2019 Hello! I am very new to casinos. I actually plan to step foot in one this weekend on our Navigator cruise. I'm thinking...maybe...slot machines. I've read alot about the Casino "host". Who is this? How do I find them? Can they direct me to someone to help show me how to start playing the slots? Also... this may be a stupid question, but, are some machines "better" than others? I'm specifically wondering if location of the games matter at all. For instance, a machine off the beaten track vs one on the main aisle. I'm thinking if I'm over in a corner by myself, it might be more difficult to flag someone down if I had a question, or needed a drink, perhaps. Thank you for any info you can provide. I'm excited to see what the whole Club Royale is all about!!
sandebeach Posted August 6, 2019 #2 Share Posted August 6, 2019 Slot machines are fairly easy to play, just remember to always insert your Seapass card when playing. That is how the casino tracks the points you earn from the money that you play through the machine. As for the best slots, I can't answer that, I wish I could! I have both won and lost when playing in the corner or in front of the casino!
discru Posted August 7, 2019 Author #3 Share Posted August 7, 2019 Thank you so much for the info! Looking forward to playing the slots and seeing what happens!
fla gang Posted August 25, 2019 #4 Share Posted August 25, 2019 Just remember going to the casino is entertainment. Don't take more money than you are prepared to lose without it bothering you. I have been entertained a lot throughout the years and lost my share. Have fun in the casino!
discru Posted August 25, 2019 Author #5 Share Posted August 25, 2019 Thank you. I agree. I definitely have a set amount I want to play with. May not be enough to get any certificates, but if I don’t go in there planning on a certificate, I won’t be disappointed if I don’t get one. However, I will be thrilled if I ended up with one with the set amount I’m bringing to play with. Time will tell. I read another board abt Royal will be changing casinos to nonsmoking in the future? Any truth to that? We are on the Allure Sept 1, but already reading about a possible Hurricane threat to the cruise. 😩
SoFlaAtty Posted September 1, 2019 #6 Share Posted September 1, 2019 discru, Was hoping to meet up with some other CC posters onboard the 9/1 (oops, now 9/4) Allure OTS sailing, but alas poor Dorian.... Cancelled reservation this past Friday. Nephew could not make this cruise (comped by Club Royale). Best regards from Broward County, FL.
