Rare Germancruiser Posted August 17, 2019 #4 Share Posted August 17, 2019 (edited) All remains speculation until Cunard reveals more about their new offspring! I do sincierly hope that they learned from the complaints they got from HAL passenger about the lack of a propper prommenade deck on board both Koeningsdam and Nieuw Statendam! If the new Cunarder- whatever name they may choose- will be a modified clone of above named ships, it will be certainly not become my new favorite ship! That is - and I do not see any changes in the compartment- QM2! I am just back from a Fjord- Cruise on board the Nieuw Statendam- I did not like that ship AT ALL! Underwatr Posted August 17, 2019 #5 Share Posted August 17, 2019 They tease info about the new ship from time to time. On QM2 in June Capt Hashmi said something similar to "I've learned what the new ship will be named and I think you will be quite pleased..." While the interior spaces will likely be worthy of Cunard, I don't expect significant changes to the promenade & lifeboats.
