Sancho_proudfoot Posted August 16, 2019 #1 Share Posted August 16, 2019 (edited) As experienced cruisers, but newbies to MSC, just a couple of queries, please: On all the pictures we've seen the TV is on the wall opposite the couch. Does it swivel out so you can see it from the bed? ( DW likes a few minutes viewing before sleep) We're booked on Seaview. I read in a review of Seaside (different ship, l know) that the pools are all quite deep, with no "shallow end" Is this also true of Seaview? I'm not a strong swimmer and like to be able to touch bottom quite easily. Edited August 16, 2019 by Sancho_proudfoot

Seaside/Seaview identical in design at least. The pools are all deep. Designed to allow swimming and resting on the sides (via arms out on the side) but avoid 'wallowing like various African species at the watering hole with a beer! lol) You will love Seaview
reedprincess Posted August 16, 2019 #3 Share Posted August 16, 2019 On our Seaside cruises, the TV swiveled a little, but even when stationary in original position, it's eminently viewable from all around the cabin. It's smack middle between bed and couch in most cabins, slightly different in insides or YC Deluxe and above.. zero problems watching comfortably from bed Pools are deep. On both Seaside and Seaview
slei15 Posted August 16, 2019 #4 Share Posted August 16, 2019 The only cabins with difficulty watching TV from the bed are the Aurea Whirlpool Suites. With these cabins being extra long and the way they are laid out, the TV being in front of the couch makes it very difficult to see from the far side of the bed. I was able to see it better from the close side, but it was not comfortable viewing.

That's our issue, then, we are going to be in an Aurea whirlpool suite ,(should really have said that at outset). I think from the layout that DW will be nearside, slightly nearer the TV......
