Escape coming in late on Sunday?

Post on FB indicates it won't be driving back to NY until 2pm on Sunday.....  fyi to those leaving on Sunday....

Norwegian Escape

Norwegian Escape departed New York City on Sept. 1, 2019 for a seven-day cruise, calling to the Royal Naval Dockyard in Bermuda from Sept. 4 to 6 and returning on Sept. 8.  Due to Hurricane Dorian in the Atlantic, her return to New York will be delayed to 2 p.m. or sooner on Sept. 8.

As such, Norwegian Escape’s seven-day Canada and New England voyage planned to depart on Sept. 8 from New York City, has been modified to accommodate a late check-in and delayed departure.  Check-in will be from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Sept. 8, with a scheduled sail away at 10 p.m.  There are no further itinerary changes at this time.

We are closely monitoring the storm and will communicate any additional itinerary modifications as needed.

Sure looks like clear sailing into NY now, I would predict a pre 2 pm NY arrival. Full steam ahead.

Surely lots of missed flights and connections in the making.

Looks like Dorian has been speeding away and is now nearing Halifax NS.

 

He was soooo slow off the FL, SC, etc but lately he finally sped up.

 

So l think Escape will arrive in NYC a bit earlier than expected.

I checked a vessel tracking site and they showed an ETA of 10:59 into NY port.
