PhillyFan33579 Posted September 17, 2019 #26 Share Posted September 17, 2019 Chervil, good post and I probably could have used a better word than entitled. However, Carnival has definitely moved away from the pampering they provided in the past. You commented that you enjoy the little luxuries and pampering that this type of vacation offers. I think in the future you will likely be happier on a different cruise line. Carnival will continue to move farther away from the “pampering” of the past. Carnival is clearly focused on the new and inexperienced cruisers with their main emphasis being on having fun. While this is right up my alley because I am all about having fun when cruising, I know the current environment on Carnival ships isn’t for everyone. Chervil Posted September 17, 2019 #27 Share Posted September 17, 2019 Philly Fan, thanks. You can see that we are relatively new to cruising, do it expectations were set pretty well at what carnival is currently doing. We're pretty easy going and easy to entertain. However you're right that if they start making a bunch of cuts we will start looking elsewhere. So far we are happy with them though. I have been amazed that with 3-4k people on board who all have different ideas on what constitutes an "ideal" fun vacation, they have enough variety in entertainment and activities to keep people busy with their personal idea of fun. All we can do is keep voicing our opinions and making our ideas known. It successfully kept them from cutting free room service completely, so it may with with other stuff as well! Happy cruising!
