Shelli Posted September 14, 2019 #1 Share Posted September 14, 2019 We're booked on the 10/6 cruise. Obviously, we can't go to Freeport anymore... anybody have any clues where we'll go instead? I'm secretly hoping it's Key West.
kren250 Posted September 14, 2019 #2 Share Posted September 14, 2019 This week, the Pride stopped at Freeport to drop off supplies (no passengers were allowed off). So, maybe they’ll still be doing that when you sail, if supplies are still needed.
mss22859 Posted September 14, 2019 #3 Share Posted September 14, 2019 We are on the same cruise. I was wondering the same. I have been checking since the hurricane, nothing yet.

HI IM KYLE Posted September 15, 2019 #10 Share Posted September 15, 2019 I’m on the boat now that’s heading to Bermuda. They will make a decision soon. They gave us a letter saying we would go to Grand Turk and Amber Cove. I know this doesn’t help you guys but a little insight.
Shelli Posted September 15, 2019 Author #11 Share Posted September 15, 2019 Thanks for your input, everyone! I'm glad Half Moon Cay is good to go, but I'd already figured that. It's what is substituting for Freeport (where I didn't really want to go anyway, but of course I feel awful for the residents) that I'm wondering. I'm thinking it'll be either Amber Cove in the DR or Key West, which I love and hope to get to!
Rayvetta Posted September 15, 2019 #12 Share Posted September 15, 2019 (edited) Everybody on the 23rd cruise tomorrow will be a week out. Hopefully we'll know something soon!! But lets admit it, no matter where we end up I'm sure we'll have a great time. Edited September 15, 2019 by Rayvetta
Gma&Gpa Posted September 15, 2019 #13 Share Posted September 15, 2019 We are on the Oct 13th cruise on the Pride. We are assuming (if there are no more storms that affect it) that we'll do Grand Turks and Princess Cay, as scheduled. Pretty obvious we won't be going to Freeport - unless they are still dropping off supplies. But Princess Cay would not take us closer to Amber Cay or Key West. I'll be curious to know - but no matter what, it'll be fine.
chrly Posted September 16, 2019 #14 Share Posted September 16, 2019 We’re scheduled to go on the Pride on the 6th as well. When I called Carnival to find out since we booked an excursion in Freeport, they advised me that they would most likely substitute Nassau...but the final decision had not yet been made. Wherever we go it really doesn’t matter to me as long as I am with family and friends...and can relax.

Buffalobills Posted September 16, 2019 #16 Share Posted September 16, 2019 I’m still waiting to hear about my sailing on the Liberty October 7th. I wish they would let us know so we can book another excursion at another port.
Susan in Maine Posted September 16, 2019 #17 Share Posted September 16, 2019 We're on the Liberty on 9/23 and just got notification of the new itinerary. We're staying in Nassau overnight and then having a sea day. Which is fine by me! I love sea days!!

However, since I'm traveling with a broken right foot, I'm not sure I would have gone off the ship in Freeport anyway. Yep - any day on a cruise is better than a day at work! Maybe Port Canaveral, but likely an extra sea day. Since most people don't seem to like Freeport as a stop, an extra sea day isn't a bad thing (except for a few sales that are offered on port days).
