We did it, booked for the April 14th sailing. Thanks to everyone that gave me input, it helped a great deal in choosing this cruise. Looking forward to experiencing sailing with Celebrity. Hope to see a few of you aboard.

Char - actually ended up booking an inside. The cruise is pretty well sold out and there were not many choices left. told the bride and she is ecstatic, said she didn't care what kind of cabin it was. so i guess i did good.

 

randyyk47 - yep wish we wrer aboard then too, but our schedules dictated when we could go. this sailing works well as my wife will be celebrating her b'day at sea!

Understand Tawcat...our sailing is timed for my birthday and our anniversary, which just happens to be the same day, so I know exactly what you're talking about. Like I said....we'll do our best not to use up all the fun! (Yeah right.........)

well crap, i must have backwards planned the cruise. got the directions to galveston, hotel accommodations set, excursions picked out and have already told the DW what to pack for me!!!

 

Oh yeah, got the cruise booked too, but ya'll already knew that.

 

Now i guess i'll kick back smoke cigars and drink beer and work on my cruise body!!!!!

Yep....I told Lou we need to start to plan our next cruise. DW saw me typing that....very cold stare and icy feeling in the room. However, she is interested in the shore tours for March and was reading the info out of the Celebrity brochure to me last night so not all is lost.

You are all too organised This is the earliest we have ever booked a cruise. There's nothing for me like a bit of pressure to focus the mind

 

Having said that, it is only the excursions we need to worry about now and we are actively talking about those on our Roll Call thread. Say......I think I'll have that cigar!

lol - well i looked at the excursions and saw the one for peacock bass fishing in the canal, told the DW i was booking that excursion for her b'day! now let me ask - am i a stellar hubby or what!!!!!!!

My DW is an engineer so I used the "any good engineer would want to see the Canal" ploy.... Like Tawcat's much better.

have to agree randy, the canal is one thing everyone should see in their lifetime. i've been trough it from both sides, different circumstance however, i was dressed in green, carried weapons, and were after a guy by the name of noriega. this time it'll be neat to be sitting in a deck chair with a beer enjoying the sights.

That’s what happened to us, we became spoiled real fast. You can’t beat the service onboard, and my husband swears by the food. But it seems you’ve been on different cruiselines to compare it to than us, we’ve only haven Carnival once and RCCL once. The other 6 cruises have all been on Celebrity. You’ll have a great time!
