Angelfsh131 Posted September 22, 2019 #1 Share Posted September 22, 2019 We are looking at a specific cruise the first week of October from Mobile as a spontaneous getaway but we were hoping the price would go down some the closer we get to departure to stay in budget. Any chance it might go cheaper or being this close to departure will the price will stay the same?
Corby114 Posted September 22, 2019 #2 Share Posted September 22, 2019 It may or may not. There’s really no way to answer that question. Since it’s after final payment it really depends on occupancy levels. If you feel that the price is reasonable for a last minute sailing go ahead and book it. If you believe that the price may go down wait a little longer but if you wait too long the ships sailing may sell out. It really depends if you really want to sail during this specific week. ray98 Posted September 22, 2019 #3 Share Posted September 22, 2019 No way of knowing. The market with its countless variables for that particular week is what will drive the prices.
canes20 Posted September 22, 2019 #4 Share Posted September 22, 2019 Would lean more towards the price going up. It is a coin toss.
Angelfsh131 Posted September 22, 2019 Author #5 Share Posted September 22, 2019 Ok thanks for the thoughts. We have another option to stay at the beach that would be in our budget that we will probably just stick with. Just thought a cruise sounded like more fun!! ALWAYS CRUZIN Posted September 22, 2019 #6 Share Posted September 22, 2019 A cruise for us is far superior than staying at any resort. Far less expensive considering everything you get with a cruise. All you can do and different places to see.
ray98 Posted September 22, 2019 #7 Share Posted September 22, 2019 Most everything from the northern FL/AL ports are sold out for that week. Looks like the Mobile cruise is all that is left, that is why it is higher than the adjacent weeks. It looks to be a popular week, probably due to school fall breaks.
