lswilmot Posted September 22, 2019 #1 Share Posted September 22, 2019 Good afternoon all. We are considering a cruise to Alaska next year. What itinerary would you choose? Cruise from Vancouver- north & returning from Seward; Seward- south returning; from Vancouver; RT from Seattle; Seattle-north returning from Vancouver; or Vancouver-north returning from Seward. Or would you pick by ship: Radiance OTS, Serenade OTS or Ovation OTS? Thanks for any info or opinions. Lori

kochleffel Posted September 22, 2019 #3 Share Posted September 22, 2019 Radiance and Serenade are siblings and I would choose between them solely on the basis of itinerary. Ovation is significantly larger. In general a one-way cruise has better port times, but the air-travel costs will be higher because of higher fares to/from Vancouver and Anchorage. Rare vacationlover_mn Posted September 22, 2019 #4 Share Posted September 22, 2019 We did Radiance northbound and loved it!
TwinMamainMN Posted September 23, 2019 #5 Share Posted September 23, 2019 We also did Radiance northbound and loved the ship so much, we are sailing on it again in May from Hawaii to Vancouver on a TP.
BBQluver Posted September 23, 2019 #6 Share Posted September 23, 2019 We did Radiance southbound in July 2018. We flew to Anchorage a few days early and checked out the area and enjoyed the Fourth of July fireworks. Being the land of the midnight sun, the fireworks show did not start until 11:45 p.m. We rode the train from Anchorage to the Seward port. The sunset photo was taken at 11 p.m over Cook Inlet. The train is traveling toward Seward along Cook Inlet.
