reeinaz Posted September 23, 2019 #1 Share Posted September 23, 2019 I have TA issued OBC for cruises on both Carnival and Norwegian (issued by different TAs). The T&C for these perks say that this OBC cannot be used in the casino. But I see threads all the time telling people how to cash out nonrefundable OBC by loading it in the casino, playing a few rounds, then cashing out the balance, minus whatever service charge. Can some nonrefundable OBC be used in the casino or am I missing the "trick" entirely?
leaveitallbehind Posted September 23, 2019 #2 Share Posted September 23, 2019 (edited) As you are referring to specific cruise lines I would suggest also posting this question on the Carnival and Norwegian boards as different cruise lines may have different policies regarding how OBC's can be used. However, most third party OBC's - which typically include TA's - are usually refundable OBC's which would be treated as cash and with no restrictions. It typically is cruise line sponsored OBC's that are non-refundable and may have casino restrictions. Here are the Carnvial and Norwegian boards links if interested: https://boards.cruisecritic.com/forum/133-carnival-cruise-lines/ https://boards.cruisecritic.com/forum/64-norwegian-cruise-line/ Edited September 23, 2019 by leaveitallbehind
