Hi all!  We will be arriving thurs eve Dec19 and staying 2 nights before our cruise which leaves On Sat from Port Everglades. There are 3 of us including out 9 yr old daughter.  Lunch / dinner recommendations?  What about spending time on the beach - is there any spot in particular we should go to or stay away from?

thanks in advance!

Have stayed there a few years ago. We walked to the nearby Galleria Mall for lunch and dinner. Plenty of restaurants and a food court.  Also there is a water taxi stop at the hotel. An option would be to go to Las Olas for lunch/dinner. Been a few years but I think I recall places along the ocean front. I think we had pizza at a place there.

We've stayed at Gallery One several times and highly recommend it.  We have been in Ft. Lauderdale in January and it was way too cold to swim in the ocean, but we did walk along the beach.  We took a round trip ride on the water taxi getting off and on to explore other areas.  We enjoyed a tour of the Bonnet house (https://www.bonnethouse.org/)  within walking distance of the hotel.

Just wanted to add that breakfast at the hotel is very expensive.  You might want to eat somewhere else in the morning or pick up some breakfast foods at the nearby grocery store to eat in the morning.  You will have a full kitchen in your suite.

Had breakfast once. Your right good but very expensive. The next time we had breakfast sandwiches at a nearby Starbucks.
