Gordoncruickshank Posted October 8, 2019 #1 Share Posted October 8, 2019 We just received our cruise ticket yesterday. I take it the bits that we need to take are the embarkation documents, the luggage tags and details of anything we have prepurchased?
Rare Beamafar Posted October 8, 2019 #2 Share Posted October 8, 2019 Exactly!! No need to print off all the included info ... save it somewhere just for reference.

I actually printed it yesterday to have a good read through it all but I was not taking all that extra weight!! Now to try and make the luggage tags fit my holders that work on RCCL and Celebrity. Do you know what SCMSUW19 means? It shows as a special purchase under Your Purchased Services Edited October 8, 2019 by Gordoncruickshank

It sometimes feels like carrying a tome, the amount of paperwork that's produced for a trip, now, lol. MSC luggage tags are longer and narrower than other cruise lines' ones, I think. They don't fit very well in the CC holders that I have. IIRC, the ones for Celebrity did. Edited October 8, 2019 by Beamafar

I have printed them at 70% of their size to see how well that fits my holders.
Kruizin'Kath Posted October 8, 2019 #6 Share Posted October 8, 2019 We are sailing 10/28. How soon before that date can I expect to get our travel documents? TIA
Rare Beamafar Posted October 8, 2019 #7 Share Posted October 8, 2019 21 days beforehand is the norm if you've booked directly - some have reported that they got theirs earlier and some later. I would be contacting whoever I booked with at this stage, assuming you've done the web check-in.
Gordoncruickshank Posted October 8, 2019 Author #8 Share Posted October 8, 2019 I received ours from TA 11 days before the cruise.
jdvmd Posted October 8, 2019 #9 Share Posted October 8, 2019 We are leaving this Saturday and our friends' two cabins were just assigned this morning. You cannot get the e-tickets until the cabins go out of guarantee status.

Did you happen to pre-pay your service charges (gratuities) by chance? Or get free gratuities? Usually that type of code would be dealing with service charges for a sailing in the Winter of 2019.
