bubbalu Posted October 13, 2019 #1 Share Posted October 13, 2019 Quick question. Hubby was recently diagnosed with severe osteoporosis in his spine. We were told no horseback riding so we canceled our horseback riding excursion. But curious if the sail and snorkle ride is bumpy or relatively smooth sailing. We know speeds boats are bumpy and out of the question. But not sure if the sailboat ride would also be too bumpy. Anyone been on that excursion that can let us know how the ride was? Thanks in advance for the info.
JF - retired RRT Posted October 13, 2019 #2 Share Posted October 13, 2019 My guess is it would depend on the current sea conditions. Sail boats don't go fast enough to catch a lot of up & down action.
skynight Posted October 13, 2019 #3 Share Posted October 13, 2019 Is this the tour? Shipwreck And Turtle Coves Two Site Snorkel 3.5 hours | St. Thomas | STT-805 Medical Restriction: Healthy, no heart or medical issues or recent surgery I have not actually been on this sailing tour. On similar ones the boat has used its engines to get to the initial snorkel sites and then on the way back has raised its sails. There can be some bouncing as the boat goes over waves. Movement around the boat may require some holding on especially if you want to sit up front on the nets.
