Hazelwoodp Posted October 18, 2019 #1 Share Posted October 18, 2019 We're booked on Celebrity Millennium in August for a land tour and southbound cruise from Seward to Vancouver. We're currently booked on the port side of the ship on the 11th floor, Aqua Class. Does it matter which side of the ship you're on? We've never been to Alaska and I'm not seeing any forums discussing this. Thanks for any help.
Rare Essiesmom Posted October 18, 2019 #2 Share Posted October 18, 2019 (edited) from Seward (except for you day cruising Hubbard Glacier) you will be too far from land to have much view until you get to Juneau. From then on you will be in the Inside Passage, with views on both sides. Indeed there is a whole sub-forum here for Alaska, located under Ports of Call: https://boards.cruisecritic.com/forum/33-alaska/ EM Edited October 18, 2019 by Host Kat Thread moved to a more correct forum where it will be more on-topic. We did this cruise in 2018 and you will either want to be aft or on the port side (facing land) of the ship. We could see land for most of our trip down the coast and it was really amazing to see the sun setting against the mountains in the evening. You should have lovely views in Blu for dinner. We were in Luminae and started going to dinner at times that would guarantee a table by the windows.

It is one of our all time favorites. We are doing Alaska again but on Viking Ocean because we wanted something longer with a few new ports. I really wish Celebrity would mix up their itineraries more often.
