Formal dress code for men

Hi

So sorry about posting yet another dress code question but it's for my son who will be joining us for his first cruise soon. He has a light grey suit , a dark green suit and red one. I guess the red one won't be suitable for formal night but would the others be ok?

Grey or dark ( pretty dark!) green with tie would be fine. Depending on age though he may get away with shirt and tie and dark trousers. Our son did that until he was about 16.

All of them. Why not? He's obviously a younger person with a bit style.

He is 30, and its come s a surprise to me that he even owns one suit, let alone 3.

A red suit will be ok.There are dinner suits in all sorts of colours,so an ordinary suit will not be a problem.

A red  or green suit would be great, they are a real style statement for someone young.

 

A grey suit which is nearer to dress code to me says I don't have, can't be bothered with a DJ

I've just bought a Burgundy tuxedo for our next TA on Britannia, so that's a black one, 'red one' and a black & silver one (as in profile pic). He'll be fine with any.

My hubby has a traditional black dj, a bottle green one, a royal blue one and a grey floral one. He's worn them all on different ships with no problems. As long as he's wearing a suit he'll be fine

Call me old fashioned but I think a traditional suit in any colour looks much smarter than a non black dinner suit.
