Things to do with 4 year old MIA/FLL

We're looking at a late flight or spending and extra night in Miami or Fort Lauderdale post cruise. I'm kind of clueless on what activities we can keep a 4 year old busy with. Any advice is appreciated.

For Fort Lauderdale, check out www.sunny.org. I don't know what kind of transportation you will have but I can volunteer that our almost 5 year old granddaughter will be visiting (we are just north of Fort Lauderdale) for a week in January and some of the activities we've planned are:

Young At Art and Flamingo Gardens.  Right near each other and YAA is way better for a 4 year old than Discovery and Science museum.  It's a good combo as they are so close and so different.  Inside and outside so a nice combo.

 

Quick jaunt down the highway from FLL airport.  I have kids that age, this is what we do....  Can do both in a day easily and have a fantastic day.  Near Sawgrass Mills Mall as well if you want to include that.

BNBR - thanks for the reminder about Young at Art.  I know our granddaughter would love that so I’m adding it to our ‘to visit’ list!

We have annual passes and take our kids there quite often.  Everything is hands on and interactive and age appropriate.
