Help with Medallion please.

Will be on Caribbean Princess in mid February  Really looking forward to that!

Need advice for uploading our passports onto Medallion app on our tablets. Everything on that app done without problem.

When you have the app open you should see a icon for travel documents.  When you open it you can then scan your passport in using your camera on your phone

You scan the page with your photo -- at least on Android, that requires the app to have permission to access the phone's camera.

 

The app will try to read the text at the bottom of that page.  My passport has spent a bit of time in my pocket, so getting the page to lay flat (and not distort the text) can be a bit of a frustration.

Since we're talking about the app, why does the app ask for microphone permissions? Is there any advantage to allowing it access?

if your passport won't stay open just put in in a book for a day and let it straighten out;  then you can scan it
