Bevi65 Posted December 8, 2019 #1 Share Posted December 8, 2019 Hi everyone, Are there shuttles from the port into Pattaya? Public buses ? I know there's a taxi desk in the terminal, however their pricing seems costly for a 30 minute drive. Thank you in advance.
Kiwi Kruzer Posted December 8, 2019 #2 Share Posted December 8, 2019 You could also ask this question on the Ports of Call - Asia board . We have not used them but friends said the road to the terminal was controlled ,and drivers had to pay a fee to use it . We had a car and driver from Bangkok to the terminal and our driver had to park up and pay a fee before driving to the terminal .Its a huge port area. c_and_t Posted December 8, 2019 #3 Share Posted December 8, 2019 Hi Bevi65 - I'm looking in to this also, and have posted a similar question to the Asia board as Kiwi Kruzer suggested. Cheers,
Witchymob Posted December 9, 2019 #4 Share Posted December 9, 2019 Hi There, We have been to Laem Chabang a number of times with Princess. We have taken the shuttle to Pattaya. There is a charge for it and you book it on board ship at the excursions desk. Can't remember how much, but it was not a lot, you pay for a ticket each way. Don't go too early as most shops and the market stalls don't open until 11.00am. The drop off point is the Siam Bayside hotel which as toilets, restaurant and a bar for if you have to wait for the shuttle back. Were last there in 2018 so presumably it is still the same.
c_and_t Posted December 9, 2019 #5 Share Posted December 9, 2019 Thank you.. that is great info. Interesting how it is not mentioned at all within Princess & Excursions. I guess their preference is for you to pay for the more expensive excursions.
