Princess - best shore excursion British Isles?

I will post this in the Princess forum as well.  Have you done some Cruiseline shore excursions in the British Isles with Princess that were excellent and you would recommend?  St Peter Port, Dublin, Cork, Belfast, Glasgow, Kirkwall, Invergordon, Edinburgh, Le Havre.  We are looking at mostly more private excursions; however, we would like to book one or two options with onboard credit. Thanks in advance!

If I were you, looking to spend some onboard credit on shore excursions, I'd spend it on an excursion in a tender port because (a) you'll get priority on the tenders and (b) these are the ports that are more likely to be missed because of weather and you'll get your money back from the cruise line if you miss the port. (Some private tour vendors, esp. in Kirkwall, don't offer this guarantee.) My first choice would probably be an excursion in Kirkwall -- Ring of Brodgar, Skara Brae, etc. St. Peter Port is probably more easily visited on your own, although we did the early-morning bike tour through Princess to see another part of the island and enjoyed it.
