I got a $900 refund + $200 ship credit credit

We sail on Solstice Sep. 18, and playing around with airfares, I found it would be cheaper to book our airfare through Celebrity than with Hawaiian airlines directly.  3 days later I got an email from my TA stating:  

 

I have fantastic news! I was just able to adjust your bookings and reduce the fare for each reservation by $900 AND I put $200 of shipboard credit on both bookings.  Could you please let your mom know?

 

I am sending out new invoices today to show the adjusted balances due.

 

Your airfare is exactly what triggered the revised confirmations I received earlier.

So I don’t know why that occurred, but I’m certainly happy for it.  For two staterooms (category 1A) this is $2200!

Wow, that is quite a savings. Hopefully your updated invoice shows an accurate booking. Now you'll have extra $ for specialty dining.

Sounds like there was a price drop for your cabin.  When you booked your air with Celebrity that triggered a new invoice which that reflected the lower cabin rate. 

Nice reduction in price!  I regularly check prices on our bookings and over the years have gotten a lot of price drops.
