private tour of Bonair

Getting or finding shore excursions in Bonaire is perhaps the most organized and least intimidating of all the Caribbean cruise terminals.  There are tents lined up along the street with various tour companies providing similar tours.  Prices are posted or they will tell you depending on what you want to do.

We chose Jentis Tours because:

1. Highly recommended by other passengers.

2. A small bus with nice A/C. (Reviews on TripAdvisor complained of A/C breaking...the A/C on our bus was cold the whole time.)

3. $25/person for "Around the Island" tour.

Brief review: It was great value for the money.  Our driver was knowledgeable, friendly, and funny.  We stopped at various places including the Salt Mines, saw flamingos, Mansion and slave houses, several beautiful beaches along the way including the beach below the "Thousand Steps", and several villages.  Most of the passengers were dropped off a beach, while the rest of us "old folks" stayed on the bus for the tour.  We took the morning tour and it lasted approximately 4 hours.  We came back to the cruise terminal early with time to walk around the cruise port.
