You seem to be loyal to Royal Caribbean.

Far from the truth, just don't see the need for anyone to say RCCL is crappy in Alaska.  Each cruiseline gives a different product in the Alaska region, to each their own. You just go on whichever  line you prefer......no reason to downgrade one over the other.

We live in Victoria and have always used the BC Ferries Connector to get back to the Island after an Alaska cruise.   It leaves the cruise ship terminal about 9:15 and will be on the 11 am ferry getting you into Victoria shortly after 1 pm.  You can book your tickets online, cost is about $60 Canadian per person.

Make contact with the ship's captain what it looks like for docking in Victoria as scheduled, they should know at least a 24 hours before docking. They should have a prety good idea by then how it will be.

While the forecasts have improved considerably over the past 30 yrs, we still get un-forecasted weather systems and/or squals. I have departed Tsawwassen (South of Vancouver) bound for the drydock and in 8 hrs the weather had changed and we couldn't get in.

This seems like the only current thread where folks might actually be considering V2V for 2020 - so adding the info here that they've quit the business and will not be restarting service this spring seems relevant. Their website gives no details, but has been good enough to link to HarbourAir and BC Ferries.
