A problem might be who's determining what's offensive.  example - 1/2 the country think MAGA hats are cool - another percentage would say they're offensive.

We sailed the Sunshine earlier this month and I didn't see any shirts that  " contain nudity, profanity, sexual innuendo/suggestions .... there was one MAGA hat ... freedom of speech?

Freedom of speech refers to the government restricting your speech, not a private corporation.

Sad that common courtesy has declined so much that people have to be requested not to wear clothing with vulgarity or hate speech in multi-generational public settings

It is the self entitled world in which we live.

Like others, I don't think this will be enforced.  I see the rule change as a a way of Carnival covering their butts.  Also, the crew and staff are from many different nationalities, somtimes they don't understand jokes or the subtleties of a language that is not their native tongue.

I never claimed it was you but the Rule was put in place because a Lady hates Carnival was going to sail on her upcoming cruise and wear shirts that said rude and vile things Directed at Carnival/JH all the while promoting another line.

I believe that was just an attempt to troll the cheerleaders.if I hated carnival or John Heald I wouldn't waste my time or money on it.john Heald is the company punching bag and i would not doubt he gets well compensated for it.he does get quite a bit of abuse as he does the beards bidding and announces all changes good or bad to his followers.im not a fan of carnival but I let my wife pick every other Cruise so I take one for the team.i read these boards every night because it's pretty amusing unlike the msc or celebrity boards which are lines i rather sail on and I do when it's my turn.
