On board a ship. Now I don't mean casino or bingo, not cash. I was thinking of this the other day. On our 2nd cruise DW & I won a game and to date, I've never seen a prize package this big, ok not huge but big.

A bunch of couples competed in different tasks and ended up we got to final round. So they 'run' 10 things past us and we have to name 6 out of 10 in 30 seconds to win. Dw rhymed off 5 in 5 seconds, then I spouted out # 6, woo hoo. I'll see if I can remember the list.

Camera, teddy bear,golf umbrella, champagne, 30 minutes on the internet, Key chain, a beer coolie, 2 other things, and a private sailaway with the Captain on the Bridge & bridge wing. That was sooo cool. People were looking down & saying "who are they"?

After many, many cruises, we won a bottle of Champagne at the repeaters party where they put your invitations in a drawing and draw about three cabin numbers and give each one a bottle of Champagne. That was on the Dawn Princess we were on for last New Years Eve cruise. We've gone to a lot of repeaters parties, on Princess and RCI, and Carnival and this is the first time we ever won. Now the casinos are something else....no luck there. I wish I knew what the secret is to winning in the casinos.....

I have you beat. I won the bean bag toss and a shuffleboard tournament on a great last shot. I got two gold medals for it. What could be more awsome than that?

I won one of the much-coveted 24-kt gold (plastic!) ships-on-a-stick from Carnival for winning a trivia contest. A deck of cards for coming in second in another.

I love playing trivia! I have won champagne, mouse pad, luggage strap, travel alarm, and key chains.

 

Most importantly of all, we won RCI visors when we won Quest!

We've won trivia contests and the kids have gotten prizes for contests in Camp Carnival. Brought home 4 ship on a sticks, 2 medals and a bottle of champagne (not good stuff to drink;)

hvsteve1: I might have you beat - didn't win these on a cruise, but I have won 2 cruises and a 1ct diamond ring ... and no, I don't enter contests on a regular basis. Friends of mine think I have a horseshoe someplace on my person.:D On one cruise I did win a bottle of champagne by playing ring-toss.

One one ship I went to the cruise shopping talk and answered a trivia question which got me a $50. certificate to Tiffany's. When we got to the port, I went into the Tiffany store there and bought a pen that I had been looking at home but didn't want to spend $100. on (since I lose pens). Then pen was discounted to $85. + no tax, then I had the $50. coupon. So the beautiful sterling silver Tiffany pen cost me $35.!

 

That was a steal!

We have won fanny packs, key chains, picture frame, and luggage tags (but never a "dam" mug) playing golf and trivia on HAL.

On Adventure of the Seas, they had a drawing at one of the port talks for a diamond bracelet. They called the #'s & no one was there. They must have left early. The next #'s were called, & they were mine! I couldn't believe I had won. I rarely win anything so it was quite a surprise that I did win the bracelet.

I've been pretty lucky with drawings. I won a 7 day cruise from a raffle on HAL, a diamond bracelet at a port talk, and a gift bag from a store in Cozumel from those entries you drop off at the stores.

On our Explorer cruise, DH was the big winner at "Tiger Woods trivia" and won an hour in the golf simulator! No big deal to me....but he was EXCITED! :rolleyes:

On the NCL Dream, Feb. 04, I walked into the port talk with my Manchester United Jersey on and won a bottle of Kahlua.....and they didn't even hold it until the last evening....LOL:D

We have won a couple plastic boats for being the first to sing in a karakoe room and for a hula hoop contest. My husband and I won large t-shirts and key rings for a dance contest (we were lousy).

I love playing trivia! Let's see on the last cruise (X) we won hmm.. tshirts , id tag holder things, travel mugs, Champagne, and travel pillows lots of travel pillows. Wooo!

 

On the one before (RCL) we only won pens and medals.

for answering a question at port shopping talk. It's a toy little stuffed replica of the Alaska State bird which is in the grouse family.

 

Won a golf putting contest and there was no prize. That night after the show in the theatre we were talking with the Cruise Director and a lady came up and told him she had placed second in a contest of some kind and didn't receive a prize. I calmly told her not to feel bad as I had placed first in the golf putting and received nothing. The CD said, 'stay right here until I return". He came back with 3 cruise line logo t-shirts and gave one to the lady, one to her husband and one to me. He told my wife he had something for her that he would send later. He had a nice document pouch with cruise line logo sent to the cabin.

My husband and I like to play trivia. On HAL we have won, Mag lights, Umbrellas, Water bottles, and Mugs. On Radisson we won Leather passport holders and a Tote bag.

 

We are trivia fiends. On the Statendam, one of the questions was "Who was Arnold Ziffle?" My husband said"A pig." He was out voted and of course that was the right answer. From that moment on, the name of our team has been, "It's a pig D**m it!":D ;)

I ended up doing ok! I won a RC over the shoulder document bag playing the quest game with my CC friends. Also won a 26X24 piece of art at the art auction raffle. That and the refund I recieved on this sailing, I made out like a bandit! LOL!

I'm going on my first cruise, and was unaware of all the contests they offer. How often do they have such games? hopefully, I too, will be as lucky as the rest of you.
