Does anyone know if the Super Bowl will be shown on board?

Last year we on the Marina on Superbowl Sunday....they showed it live.....middle of the night and people came. Showed it again next afternoon.

They had a little Superbowl party....nachos and stuff for those who came middle of the night

Shown live regardless of time aboard ship. Funny hearing about the crew creating that tailgating experience at 04:00 with hotdogs, nachos, and cold beer at that hour. 😂😂

We had the best time at the party and if I can figure a way to post it from my phone..I have a picture of an amazing cake they made that was unreal..

We just got off Insignia and they showed the live playoff games in Horizon.  We got popcorn!

We’ll be sailing the Marina for the first time this Summer and had been wondering if they’d be showing the Olympics. In what venue do they screen events like these?

They do not show the Olympics..you might see parts of it on the news stations on TV

They used to have Sky SportS - great for rugby and cricket (if that's your bag) 😀

Hi Paul, that was a great game. The Super Bowl will be played while we’re in Capetown. We board Nautica on the 3rd, so wondering what sports channels they might have besides rugby or soccer?

Hi Laurie & Dave,

Tough call. Super Bowl will be on 2/2 3:30 PST which should be about 1:30 AM on 3/3 in Cape Town - middle of the night and presumably you’ll be sleeping in your hotel.

They might show the Super Bowl once you board the ship as a delayed/recorder broadcast but that being the boarding day not sure how they’ll handle it.

Regardless - have a great cruise and GO NINERS 😀

PS IIRC, for sports they only have Sky Sports. I don’t believe they have ESPN.
