Island wings, ketchikan

Going to book a flight with Island Wings. Does any have experience with this company?

What time do you suggest , 8 am or 12pm?

We have gone out with Island Wings twice for an Anan Creek Bear Watch --- Excellent experience both times.  Can't help with the times as we picked ones that worked with our port times.

I have also gone with Island Wings and enjoyed it so much, they are the best IMHO.  I also picked times that worked with my port times.

We have also used Island wings several times. Can’t agree more that they are the best.

Booked for our April cruise. My main reason is I have a radio controlled floatplane that sports the Island Wings paint scheme and want to be able to say I’ve ridden in the real version of my scale model.

I have been to Anan twice and once to traitors cove with them. Highly recommend them. 

 

For these trips, they told us the time.

We did the 12:00 Misty Fjords and lake landing in May. Incredible company to work with. Michell and her very accomplished and experienced new pilot Adam are well known as some of the very best in Alaska. The morning flight may have more fog to deal with. We tried to add the Soule Glacier flyover but the timing was wrong with the possibility of fog.

 

We are going to do her Traitors Cove Bear Viewing tour in 2021. Michell did photos for everyone on our flight when at Lake Manzoni. Just awesome service. When Michell mentioned that it may be warm in the plane (we had dressed in layers but warmly), DW immediately bought me a tee from their shop. Just got our Happy New Years card from her.
