Seabourn Encore is at Waiheke Island today 19 Jan

Encore is anchored off Waiheke Island today and is tendering passengers ashore to the Waiheke ferry terminal. Should be a very busy day on the Island .She then takes a 45 minute cruise and docks in Auckland tomorrow .😀

We were on the Encore a couple of years ago getting off at Auckland and as we were leaving we saw the captain and asked him is he going to drift with the tide to Waiheke as Waiheke was going to be the first stop of the next cruise

He just laughed

We will be back on the Encore early March for 14 days leaving Sydney, around Tassi up to Adelaide then back to Sydney

They have a perfect day for Waiheke . Hardly any wind and not a cloud in the sky . The water will be sparkling and the village will be humming .

Nice, the shuttles, wineries and eateries will be getting a work out.

If you go there and want to hire a bike for the day be sure to get an e-bike...  Pretty hilly place, but we could get out to Onetangi and back via a few wineries easily (would have struggled on a normal bike).    

 

We finished the day with a wine tasting at Mudbrick Vineyard before heading down the hill to get the ferry back to Auckland.
