Philipsburg, St. Maarten restaurant recommendations requested

My wife and I will be on a cruise soon and one port will be St. Maarten. What are some good restaurants near the boardwalk that specialize in local seafood dishes? We plan on taking a taxi into town from the cruise port and having at least one meal there. If we time it right we will probably go for an early lunch and an early dinner before going back to the ship. It may end up being lunch OR dinner if we can't find a way of killing several hours in the area.

On the way back from town I would suggest Chesterfields at Doc Maarten for dinner. We have been going there for years. Good mix of locals, Vacationers and boaters. You are less than a 10 minute walk to the ship from there.

You won't go wrong if you stop at the Lazy Lizard at the beginning of the boardwalk. They have the best food and drinks at the lowest prices and are a very friendly group. Their beach is great also.
