Issue with Curacao

We like to wander through Willemstad some days, just enjoying the atmosphere. Other days, we'll take a more directed approach, for example taking the very interesting self-directed Historic Willemstad Architectural Walking Tour. There's a guide and map online, and it includes routes in both the Punda and Otrobanda. Even if you aren't interested in architecture, the guide has tons of interesting and educational information.

 

While we enjoy time spent in Willemstad, we frequently rent a car for the day and head north, exploring different beaches and snorkeling sites. With a car rental outlet right at the cruise terminal, we can be off and on our way long good and early and return just before all aboard (plus some time in hand, just in case).

Intetesting article yesterday in our local paper..by R Tribou of Orlando Sentinel

 

Focus of article  is on  Royal Cs Quantum Ultra Class ships and highlights Odyssey of the Seas...with  over 160,000  Gross tons and 4,200 pax at dbl capacity. .Will be ready  Nov 2020 and will be first ship of that class to home port in  Florida...Port Everglades

 

It will sail  W and S Carib itins in the winter including  Aruba and Curacao..So thst's another beast of the seas competing for ports!

 

Glad we did  most of the ports sev times over and can now focus on  the ships themselves

Appreciate hearing new ideas.. we do like architecture and historical walking tours...but the city streets  smelled of yuck and our guide was not the best!

 

 Maybe next time we'll do better but have done ABC cruises recently so it will be awhile.

Here is the email that was sent to me.

"Please be advised the Celebrity Equinox 9 Night Aruba, Bonaire & Curacao itinerary has been modified as detailed below.

Celebrity Equinox, 9 Night Aruba, Bonaire & Curacao Voyage: February 19, 2021 and April 2, 2021

-These changes have been made due to port congestion in the ABC Islands.
-The ports of Oranjestad, Aruba and Kralendijk, Bonaire have been switched in port order.
-The call time for Kralendijk, Bonaire is 2:00 PM - 10:00 PM.
-The call time for Oranjestad, Aruba is 10:00 AM - 11:59 PM.
-The departure time from Willemstad, Curacao has been revised from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM."
