embarkation lunch restaurant choices on Carribean Princess

We are a party of 5 sailing on the Carribean Princess on March 1st.  Are Steamers and or Planks open for lunch on embarkation day?  I know that the crew usually steers you to the MDR or buffet but we are looking for an alternative.  What will be available? Thanks for the help.

No it is not.

Do not expect the crew to steer you to the MDR.  They will not.  They are very happy to show you the way to the buffet though.

We always go to the dining room.  By the time we finish eating, the cabins are open and it is more comfortable to enjoy a nice lunch that fight the crowds at other venues.
