I just booked 8276 for Oct. 29th. I'm interested in any comments on this cabin from those who have stayed in it. I'm concerned that it is over the show room.

Larry

Ask me in a couple of weeks. ;) My friend and her daughter are in that cabin and I'm a few doors over in an aft mini suite. we're sailing 2/18.

...and somewhat further back, so we were directly over the rear of the theater. I never heard anything when we were in the room, and we always head up to the room around 8, 9, or 10.

However, you are over the front of the stage where the speakers, and performers are, so your concerns might be valid.

I guess the other poster will give you the lowdown. Good luck!

It has been awhile so I thought I'd pull this forward to see if there was any other input out there?

Hi...I've been looking for this thread!! My friend was in 8276 and I was in 8279 last week. We did hear some music early in the evenings but never anything after 9:00. You will love 8276..the balcony is wider than others in that room category, very private too. Enjoy!

I'm curious to see what you thought of the cruise and room location.

which itinerary are you doing? the ship was very nice. I personally liked the Spirit better. The food was good, try to stay away from the buffets. For breakfast we enjoyed the fresh waffles at Pacific Heights and the omelets at Las Ramblas. The breakfast buffet is the same every day.

We only saw one show, the Cirque Pan show. The performers were very good but the whole show just seemed amateurish to me.

Shopping on board is just very basic, gift shop and Colombian Emeralds. The casino was very nice...maybe because I won! LOL

Let me know if you have any other questions.

We were actually on the Sun last Oct. We were diverted from N.O. to Houston after the hurricaine. We had a forward balcony. I was just really curious about the aft balcony. We didn't get to many of the other dining rooms. Did you go to Tapas? That was one we didn't make it to but was curious about. Is there a surcharge for La Ramblas or Pacific Heights for breakfast? We ate at two of the surcharge dining rooms, but didn't find the food to be that much better than the main dining room.

Thanks again,

Larry

Yes..we thought the tapas were a great idea! We ate lunch at Las Ramblas several times and Pacific Heights does fresh waffles for breakfast (with toppings like fresh whipped cream..yummmm!!) Las Ramblas also has omlettes for breakfast, so those two were great for breakfasts, not nearly as crowded as the buffet and buffet breakfast was the same stuff every day -- and no, there's no surcharge for them at any time. We at at Il Adagio and loved it, but the tapanakyi place wasn't worth the time or the money, in my opinion.

Interesting about your take on Tapanakyi; we were on her 4 years ago and will be again in about 5 plus weeks. I have to agree, but my DD thought it was the best in the world. Of course she had been trying to finish off some alcohol we had in our room as it was the last night of the cruise; maybe that had something to do with it. LOL
