Rebels82 Posted February 10, 2020 #1 Share Posted February 10, 2020 Will be in the Dawn 2/20 the same day that RCL Harmony of the Seas will be at Coxen Hole. I have read the NCL ship usually has to tender when they are there at same time as RCL. Is this still true? if we have to tender and are NOT on an NCL excursion, does it take a long tome to get on the tender and get to shore? I am assuming those on NCL excursions will be on the first tenders. Thanks.
Cccc89 Posted February 10, 2020 #2 Share Posted February 10, 2020 A second pier recently opened in this port and now two ships can dock.
Rebels82 Posted February 11, 2020 Author #3 Share Posted February 11, 2020 That pier must have opened last week because we were there two weeks ago and it had a lot of work to go before it opened.
oteixeira Posted February 11, 2020 #4 Share Posted February 11, 2020 We were there this week (2/1-2/8) and it is done enough to dock a ship, for sure.
versuco Posted February 11, 2020 #5 Share Posted February 11, 2020 We docked at the new pier on Jan 6th on the Escape. The pier itself was finished enough for us to dock there, it looked like it just needed some cosmetic touches.
Paul Bogle Posted February 11, 2020 #6 Share Posted February 11, 2020 While construction is ongoing at Coxen Hole, the new pier came into service in early January. The pier itself is finished. The work is on what looks like a "no man's land" between the pier and the shops which used to be part of the bay.
oteixeira Posted February 11, 2020 #7 Share Posted February 11, 2020 Good pics, here is us coming in on Tuesday (6 days ago), you can see the new pier in the extreme left of the picture.

The Pearl was docked there when we visited and as soon as it departed they had construction equipment rolling over the pathway to that pier as well as down the pier itself. So I could see why you would think this. We were there 1/27 on the Breakaway.
Swayde27 Posted February 12, 2020 #10 Share Posted February 12, 2020 We received notice that this will be a tender port, rather we got a generic email telling us about tendering and contacting NCL confirmed that the Dawn will be tendering there in 3 weeks. So I’m guessing another ship will get the pier.
