Dawn: Every cabin now has a working safe?

I booked for April.

 

there was a thread saying 400 cabins didnt have working safes a couple of months ago. (What did people do to safeguard their valuables?)

wonder if thats been rectified?

We were on the Dawn in a balcony cabin in December 2018 and our room had a safe. My understanding was all the cabins had safes.

yes all cabins had safes but the thread i saw a few months ago said 400 of them were NOT working, (according to the Sr Officiers Q&A session on his cruise?)

when i went on the dawn back in November 2019, they were in the process of switching out the old safes to new safes. a lot of cabins were missing safes and it became a hot topic during the officer q&a talks. lucky my cabin did had the safe.

Currently on the Dawn...no safe. We took a picture of all our valuables and count our money. According to guest services, the safes weren't working so they removed them from the cabins...

Interesting. Ive never used a safe, on a cruise or in a hotel. Hmmm, just never thought about it.

Just returned from b2b on dawn. Two different cabins. In both the safes were gone but new ones installed within two days.
