Panorama Porthole Window Washer and Rinse

The two portholes in our cabin on the Carnival Panorama had a window washing and rinse nozzle that kept the glass sparkling clean. At 245am I thought I heard rain and looked out to see a fine soapy mist forming on the glass. After 30 seconds or so the mist was replaced by a strong spray of fresh water which removed the mist. I was amazed to see that there is a spray nozzle welded to the top of each porthole canal designed to maintain the cleanliness of the glass! Is this feature true of all Carnival Vista Class ships? Whatever naval architect thought this up is a genius.

In this photo you can see the washing and rinsing nozzle and the Royal Princess keeping Panorama company as we headed south along the Baja Peninsula.
