Margarita Jane Posted February 17, 2020 #1 Share Posted February 17, 2020 Before my trip, which I am currently on, I had read in many places that you cannot visit the Brazilian side of Iguazu Falls without a Brazilian visa. This is not true. My DH and I visited the Brazilian side today, as part of a tour, and there was no issue just using our US passports. The falls are beautiful and Devils Throat is magnificent. We had not planned to visit the Brazilian side, but were offered a very reasonably priced tour. We questioned everyone within earshot about the need for a Brazilian visa for US Citizens and were told many times over that the visa is no longer necessary. We went on the tour, submitted our passports to border control going in and coming out of Brazil with absolutely no issue.
