This is possibly the daftest question but...Never been on a cruise before...

We have paid for the Classic Drinks and Gratuities.

So when my wife and I wander into any of the bars and order a drink within the CDP do I need to tip the bartender? I guess what i am saying is does the gratuities cover only the staff who look after the cabin cleaning etc etc?

Sorry I know it sounds data.

No you do not.

Some do leave a dollar or two or whatever they choose, if anything.

The gratuities cover a wide range of the staff... seen and unseen.

There are a few threads, recent, covering this.

bon voyage

Not daft.   Your prepaid gratuities cover housekeeping staff and wait staff. The beverage packages have the gratuities built into them and nothing more is required, although many people to give a little extra especially if they get a favorite bartender or a favorite server.

If you order a drink that is priced over the maximum of your package, you will pay the difference plus associated gratuity.

There are other personnel on board who are not included in the prepaid gratuities system. If you go to the spa or the salon they will tack a gratuity on to the price of the service. If you hire a babysitter a gratuity will be added to that as well.

Also recognize that this is how it is handled and Celebrity. Other cruise lines may handle it differently.
