el barco Posted February 23, 2020 #1 Share Posted February 23, 2020 We are going to Cozumel in April and thinking of going to Playa Mia. We dont know whether to book just the beach break or the all inclusive with buffet lunch, there are 6 adults and three children ages 3, 5, and 7, we are not very likely to want much alcohol, maybe one each at most. Does anyone have a copy of the a la carte menu or details of what is included in the buffet, also is the buffet just one visit, as the children seem to eat every couple of hours. We will be booking through the Norwegian cruise line, as we have the $50 shore excursion credit, does anyone know if the cruise run their own transportation or if it is the same as if booked with playa mia direct? As there are 9 of us we are hoping for a large vehicle that we can all get on at the same time Thank you for any help given

I haven’t compared ship prices vs booking independent but easy enough to get a taxi van for 9 from dispatch.
JohninDC Posted February 25, 2020 #3 Share Posted February 25, 2020 The buffet there gets generally poor reviews on this board.

sublarry Posted March 5, 2020 #5 Share Posted March 5, 2020 It is is a $3 admission and they have a $10 cover last time we were there. We don’t drink so no reason to pay a lot extra. Can ride is about $15 out to there.Sent from my iPhone using Forums

nolatravelgirl Posted July 19, 2021 #7 Share Posted July 19, 2021 I can't speak for the actual taste of the buffet but I did do the cooking class at Playa Mia. The cooking class was fabulous and you get to eat what you cook. We were allowed to use the facilities but that buffet looked nasty.
