Brisbane Multi-User Terminal (Grain Terminal) access

We have an overnight port stop at Brisbane (Grain Terminal, not Portside) this Sunday and Monday on the Norwegian Jade.  The itinerary was just changed today to add the overnight to replace some stops we're missing later in this cruise from Sydney to Papetee.

 

Looks like this port is very difficult to get to and from.  Has anybody stopped here before with NCL, was there a bus shuttle to the CBD?  If so, where would it take us to?

 

The nearest train station at Wynnum (15 minutes away by taxi/rideshare) has a bus replacement service this Sunday due to trackwork.

 

So thinking about renting a car.  Have a reservation at the Thrifty/Dollar office at 5 Container St Tingalpa but that's not exactly near, might be better off getting something in the CBD.  If we do go for the car, has anybody ever parked overnight near the ship?  The free parking there (and even access) seems to be only for pick up and drop off.

We were there in December. You’re right it is a bit isolated.

The terminal is a tent in a industrial port ,pretty unimpressive.

The ship had a shuttle into the CBD for $25 .

Some people got a taxi to the train station.

We just did a ship tour.
