Bill Miller Posted March 9, 2020 #1 Share Posted March 9, 2020 “Don't give up the ship. Don't surrender;” a favorite motto of the United States Navy. Adm Farragut "What's the trouble?" he shouted through a trumpet to USS Brooklyn. "Torpedoes", was the shouted reply. "Damn the torpedoes.", said Farragut, "Four bells, Captain Drayton, go ahead. Jouett, full speed." “Where’s the Bar? I’ve got the drink package!” Capt. Bill Miller, retired. To all my Friends in the Cruise Community. The hysteria over this new strain of flu will pass. Our cruise lines executives are very capable and good people. They understand the need to manage this crazy situation and I'm sure it's an, "All hands on deck," performance. They understand your concerns. They are also, "All In," in protecting their shipboard employees. If your weeks out from your cruise, take a breath. Let's see how this shakes out. "Stay your Course." Don't give in to media hype. Pursue your goals. Have faith in the most excellent people that run a great cruise line. Celebrity! See you soon at the Pool Bar. Capt. Rare lv2cruisgrl Posted March 9, 2020 #2 Share Posted March 9, 2020 One of the biggest issues is keeping people who are already sick off the ships.

Denny01 Posted March 9, 2020 #4 Share Posted March 9, 2020 (edited) Famous Quotes of Naval Aviators: “Better to be dead than look bad!”. When Flight Surgeons told aviators that Quinine could collect in their inner ear and cause balance problems, so they were not to drink quinine with 48hrs of flying, an aviator (me) responded back: “And I always thought it was the Gin in my Gin and Tonics that made me fall down!!”. “Bartender, hold the tonic and pour me a Gin, I’m flying in a few hrs!!”.
