Can a future cruise credit from option 2 be used as a deposit on a new booking?  and

How soon should one expect to see it hit your your princess account 

We selected this option just a few minutes after the announcement was made.

My PVP told me the FCC could not be used as a deposit on a new cruise.  She said I needed to pay the required deposit or use a future cruise deposit FCD if I had one available.  It doesn't make sense to me that the FCC can't be used as deposit $$$ but that is what she told me.

The FCC may not be used for deposit. As the FCC may not be available for 30 days, should a rebooking final payment be due prior to the FCC availabilty, a travel agent may request an extension of the final payment date in order to apply it against the balance.

Don't take this personally, this is not a new policy. FCC has never been available to use as a deposit.

And, this is way different from an FCD...which is designed to be used as a deposit and has an OBC connected with it.

If you used an FCD on a cruise that has now been cancelled, time will tell, but it may be that your FCD will be reinstated for use on another booking.  I suggest that you ask Princess or your TA.
